On November 10, IFF participated in the UIC’s TEDP (Talent & Expertise development Platform) plenary meeting which brought together more than forty participants, mainly training managers and managers of railway training centers around the world (participants from Argentina, China, Australia …)

Due to the current situation, this plenary, which should be held last spring in Valencia, was organized in the form of two On-line meetings, the second is scheduled for December 10.

This first meeting was opened by Marc Guigon (head of UIC “travelers” department) who presented the work of the UIC COVID 19 taskforce.

It was also an opportunity to share the progress of the platform’s projects: deployment of the UIC ERTMS course, hackathon project, working group on training quality criteria. It ended with a virtual round table on the theme: “Current situation at training centers: Covid 19 and learning: what has it changed? Challenges and Opportunities. “

The main objective of this platform is to promote quality training by sharing best practices, fostering the arrival of talents in the railway world and meeting the challenges of the development of training (tools and methods).
