IFF IS A FRANCO-MOROCCAN INSTITUTE OF CONTINUING EDUCATION DEDICATED TO RAIL PROFESSIONALS.

08 Jan 2026

From 5 to 9 January 2026, IFF officially launched a training programme in Hanoi (Vietnam) dedicated to developing the high-speed rail skills of Vietnamese railway staff.

This program is part of a technical assistance initiative led by SNCF International and funded by the AFD – Agence Française de Développement. It strengthens Franco-Vietnamese cooperation and contributes directly to the development of Vietnam’s high-speed rail network, in line with the 2021–2030 national strategy for rail modernisation and technological innovation.

The training program comprises nine modules, spread over the course of 2026, for the benefit of around 100 Vietnamese railway workers with a variety of profiles. It is based on a blended learning approach combining theory, feedback, benchmarks from the Moroccan and French railway networks, and field immersion.

To date, two of the nine modules have been delivered during this first week, covering high-speed rail project management as well as governance, regulations, certification and operations. Six of the modules will take place in Vietnam and three in Morocco, with full coverage planned by the end of 2026.

As a key player in railway engineering, training and skills transfer, IFF continues to support the development and excellence of railway networks around the world.
