At the initiative of UIC, IFF officially launched the TrainRail Hackathon for the African region on October 21st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In partnership with \u00a0ONCF Group and SNCF International, IFF brought together more than 50 African talents 🌍 to take part in this pre-event held both offline and online.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the day, participants were able to initiate contacts and exchanges between their peers and the expert coaches.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, a design thinking workshop 🛠️🎨 was organised for the participants to give them a better understanding of the principle and stages of design thinking 🧠 and to introduce them to research and group work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Later in the day, 7 mixed teams (professionals and academics) were formed, representing 6 African countries. 🇲🇦 🇧🇫 🇹🇳 🇬🇦 🇸🇳 🇲🇷<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the following stages, each team will defend a topic related to the theme proposed by the UIC in front of a panel of experts. 🏅3 teams will be selected and rewarded by the members of the jury on November 24. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The winning team will proudly represent the African region alongside the other organising regions (Asia-Pacific, Europe, Middle East and Latin America) at the final of the UIC World Congress on Railway Training scheduled for 8 April 2025 in Chengdu, China.🇨🇳<\/p>\n\n\n\n
